Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19 1965. She is an American actress and producer. Her role as the main character on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. After the end of the seventh season, the show was cancelled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the show in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick who is a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish, and she has claimed that she attends at Passover seders.
